Adobe Acrobat Reader
The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) has published a number of files that are in portable document format (.PDF). These files may be viewed with the Adobe Acrobat Reader. In order to read our PDF files, you will first need to download and install the Adobe Acrobat Reader. The reader is available free of charge from Adobe's web site and can run on DOS, Windows, Macintosh, and Unix systems. Adobe includes tools at access.adobe.com that help visually impaired users access Adobe PDF documents by converting PDF into simple HTML or ASCII text at http://access.adobe.com/simple_form.html All you have to do is type in the URL address into the URL box and select the button: 'Get this Adobe PDF Document as HTML" The Adobe PDF document will be converted on-the-fly to HTML, and will be returned to you immediately in your browser application.
