A part-time job is an important opportunity for a youth to apply the skills learned in job readiness and vocational training. It also helps a youth learn essential life skills for the workplace.
Talk to the youth and the youth’s CPS caseworker to determine if the teen is ready for a job. Also look at other options that allow learning in a workplace.
