Tranquilizers are used to treat people with severe anxiety that interferes with their daily activities. The Benzodiazepines are are potentially addictive and are more commonly used in the hospital. However, they may be used to treat neurological problems in children, such as muscle spasms. Examples include benzodiazepines and other (non addictive) tranquilizers.
