Social Media Toolkit
Protecting vulnerable adults is everyone's responsibility and social media is a great way to let the community know how they can help. We've created a social media toolkit that you can share with your followers.
General Instructions
How can you use social media to promote awareness? Share and create posts on your preferred social media sites. Posts could include:
- Sample posts from this toolkit
- Information about planned events
- Resources to help vulnerable adults
- General content about elder abuse, neglect and financial exploitation
Include one or two recommended hashtags on your posts to strengthen the message online. Be sure to follow @TexasDFPS and tag us on Twitter and Facebook!
Social Media Toolkit: Financial Exploitation Awareness Month (October)

Social Media Toolkit: Self-neglect
