Kevin is 14 years old. He has lived in the same placement for six months.
Each year his school hosts a fundraising event for its art program. Kevin’s art teacher is requesting he be allowed to work in the face painting booth because he is a very talented artist. Kevin is not sure if he wants to participate.
Kevin came to the placement with a history of physical aggression and fighting. His diagnosis includes oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). He takes Adderall daily as prescribed and seems to be managing his aggression more effectively. There have been no incidents of fighting since his move to the new placement.
Kevin is developmentally on target and is passing all of his classes at the on-campus school. His service plan states he must always be supervised. His art teacher will provide supervision for him and the other children while they are at the event.
