It would be risky to send Scott to Ray's party at the last minute based on what Mrs. Simmons currently knows about how Scott got the pills. Mrs. Simmons doesn't know Ray or his family and has no time to vet them. If Mrs. Simmons had more time to meet with Ray's parents to discuss the situation, she would be able to assess the situation and risk with more information. However, right now, the risk is too high to allow Scott to attend the slumber party.
