Some volunteers may work closely with children, older adults, or people with disabilities. For the safety of our clients, staff, and other volunteers, we ask that volunteers who are sick not attend their scheduled volunteer shift.
If you are sick, and are signed up for a shift, please contact your supervisor as soon as possible to let them know that you will be unable to volunteer. Possible signs of illness are:
- Fever
- Body aches or chills
- Sore throat
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Stuffy or runny nose
- Cough
