The Bay Area/Montgomery area, previously known as Region 6b, is comprised of 12 counties surrounding, but excluding, Harris County.

The Single Source Continuum Contractor (SSCC) for this area is Texans Together. Visit the Texans Together website to learn about them.

  *Steps to view the executed contract for Texans Together (#HHS001342100002):

  

  1. Go to the Legislative Budget Board (LBB) contract database website and click on “Contract Database Search”.
  2. In the Contract ID field, enter the contract number.
  3. In the Agency dropdown, select “530 - Family & Protective Services”.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on the “Submit Search” button.
  5. When the results appear, click on the “Display Expanded Data Set” button.
  6. Next, click on the "+" icon to view contract information.
  7. To view a document in the Attachments section, click on the magnifying glass icon   to the left of the document you wish to review.

The Office of Community-Based Care Transition (OCBCT) and the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) announce Community-Based Care (CBC) Single Source Continuum Contractor (SSCC) awards in Regions 6A and 6B. Texans Together is the awarded Single Source Continuum Contractor (SSCC) for all counties in Regions 6A and 6B.

Understanding implementation for each contractor is different, we expect readiness activities to take approximately six to eight months before Stage I begins. Regions 6A and 6B will be moving on a parallel timeline for implementation to support the shared resources across these two regions. Given this, Regions 6A and 6B will experience a longer readiness phase, which will begin in Fall 2025 with a projected Stage I go-live in Summer 2026. These timelines are subject to change.

In Stage I, Texans Together will build a network of services in the community and will provide foster care placement services. In Stage I, SSCCs will be responsible for the placement of children in foster care and those entering foster care.
