The Data Book (previously published as the Legislative Data Book) has been compiled as a descriptive statistical resource of the services provided to the people of the State of Texas by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) for fiscal year 2004 (September 1, 2002 through August 31, 2003). Information in this book covers the most frequently asked questions about DFPS programs. Our hope is that it will be beneficial in answering these questions as well as being an ongoing resource document.
