What is Community-Based Care?
Community-Based Care (CBC) is a way of providing foster care and case management services. It's a community-based approach to meeting the individual and unique needs of children, youth, and families.
Community-Based Care Contracting Opportunities
The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) contracts within a geographic service area with a single contractor, officially known as a Single Source Continuum Contractor, or SSCC. The SSCC is responsible for finding foster homes or other living arrangements for children in state care and providing them a full continuum of services.

Texas Government Code Sections 2054.126 (d)(4) and 2261.253 require each state agency to post specific procurement information on its website.
