Accessibility ensures that people with disabilities can access the same information, perform the same tasks, and receive the same services as people who do not have a disability. The Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is committed to ensuring that any Electronic and Information Resources (EIR) are accessible for both state employees and members of the public.
DFPS is continually improving the user experience for everyone by including assistive technology users and applying the relevant Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA and Section 508 standards. DFPS is guided by and adheres to Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 206 & 213. To ensure accessibility compliance, DFPS reviews content regularly and tests EIR manually with assistive technology and automated testing software.
