The Data Book is a descriptive statistical resource of the services
provided to the people of the State of Texas by the Texas Department
of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) for fiscal year 2006
(September 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006). Information in this
book covers the most frequently asked statistical questions about
DFPS programs. Our hope is that it will be beneficial in answering
these questions and serve as a continuous resource.

Appendix A is not actually a part of the 2006 Data Book but is a supplement to it. With the 2006 edition of the Data Book, the page numbers for some sections have changed.
