Lea Ann Biggar became Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on August 1, 2023 after serving as the acting CFO for the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). Lea Ann has a long history of service with DFPS and continues to focus on the best ways to support the agency’s mission of protecting the unprotected.
Lea Ann started her career at DFPS in Human Resources before moving to the Office of Finance in 2005, where she rose through the ranks. She worked on position control and budgets for Child Care Licensing and Child Protective Services. After a brief stint at the Cleveland (Ohio) Metropolitan School District, she returned to DFPS to manage the appropriation control team. She later served as the Budget Director and Deputy CFO before becoming the acting CFO. Lea Ann holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Hendrix College.
