Madelyn (Madi) Fletcher, DFPS Chief of Staff, spent the last two years as a Budget and Policy Advisor in the Office of the Texas Governor focusing on the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, the Texas Department of State Health Services, and life issues. While in the governor’s office, Madi served as a governor’s appointee on the State Child Fatality Review Team, as well as a commissioner for the Children’s Commission.
Prior to working in the Office of the Governor, Madi spent over 5 years working in the Texas House of Representatives. She served in leadership positions for State Representatives Tan Parker and Jared Patterson and aided in securing the passage of numerous pieces of legislation in policy areas such as child welfare, healthcare, combating human trafficking, and protecting first responders.
Madelyn was born and raised in Bryan, TX and earned a BA in Communication from Texas A&M University. Madelyn is actively involved in her church and is a mentor for the Seedling Foundation.
