Texas Kinship Caregivers
Extended families play a significant role in rearing children when parents are having a difficult time. Called Texas Kinship Caregivers by Child Protective Services, these relatives (and other people who the child or family have a significant relationship) help provide children with stability when they can't live with their birth parents.
We encourage you to promote kinship care with your networks. Our goal is to reach as many individuals as possible to equip families with knowledge and resources to support families across Texas.
This toolkit includes daily messages and links that can be used as is or customized in any way that works best for your community.
