Regional Well-Being Specialists
Well-Being Specialists are subject matter experts who assist CPS, SSCC staff, caregivers, and STAR Health in addressing basic and specialized behavioral and physical healthcare needs, including dental, vision, and pharmacy services for children in all stages of service. Their primary duties include troubleshooting complex cases related to physical and behavioral health needs, serving as the liaison to Superior for Star Health services, and facilitating primary medical needs staffing.
It is important for the caseworker to provide the Well-Being Specialist with pertinent information regarding the child’s diagnosis, situation, or concerns. The caseworker should provide child’s name, DOB, PID, and Medicaid number if available. The caseworker may request assistance from the Well-Being Specialist by phone, email, or virtually via TEAMS. Regional staff should consult with the Well-Being Specialist covering their region regarding the best way to make a referral. The following is the current list of Well-Being Specialists:
