Policy
A Corrective Action Plan (CAP) is a formal plan submitted by the contractor to correct a concern identified by the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). If the contractor submits an acceptable plan to resolve the concern, DFPS must follow up on the implementation of the plan within 30 days of the completion date to ensure that the contractor's deficiencies or problems are corrected.
Contract staff are responsible for coordinating the development of a CAP with the contractor. Contract staff must document the facts of the problem (identifying the specific contract provisions, statutes, circulars, or rules) that apply to the situation, and require that the contractor draft the CAP to address and correct issues, within an identified timeframe.
