The Texas Central Registry portal is a web-based application that provides child abuse and neglect checks for the public that live both in-Texas and out-of-state.

An individual interested in obtaining a Texas Central Registry background check will log on to Texas Central Registry portal through the My DFPSApplication Passport (MYDAP) to:

  • Submit central registry checks.
  • View the status of a central registry check.
  • Print a central registry check.

This portal is for personal request only.  Once you create an account, you will not be able to change some of the data entered.  You will be able to download and print your results once the check is completed.  You will not be able to request a check on behalf of someone else as the email address can only be used once.

Please see the Texas Central Registry Portal Guide for External Users for assistance with submitting a central registry check.
