House Bill (HB) 1481, 82nd Legislature, Regular Session, mandated that agencies use person-first language. The item below is revised to change language referencing when APS completes an investigation in a foster or adoptive home from “if the victim is an adult who is disabled” to “if the alleged victim is an adult who is age 65 or older or an adult with a disability.”
