Appendix 2813-D: No Alleged Perpetrator Named in Intake Allegation (Case Scenario)

Scenario: In this scenario, Sue is the alleged victim, Joe is an eight-year-old sibling, Jan is a 15-year-old sibling, Ann is the mother, and Jack is the father.
The reporter alleged Sue had been neglectfully supervised but did not know who might have been responsible. The intake worker felt that the neglect of Sue met statutory definitions and could have reasonably resulted from an act or failure to act by a parent or sibling. As a result, the intake worker entered an allegation that named Sue as the alleged victim but did not include the name of an alleged perpetrator.
In this instance, the investigation worker could finalize the allegations as indicated in the following table (all possible outcomes may not be represented).
