Handbook Revision, July 1, 2022
This revision of the Statewide Intake Policy and Procedures Handbook was published on July 1, 2022. Summaries of new or revised items are provided below.
I&R to Existing Case (PATS 13688)
This handbook revision makes minor edits for clarity but no substantive changes to policy.
See:
3120 I&R to Existing Case
Assessing the Death of a Child Not in Conservatorship (PATS 13694)
This policy edit involves removing a bullet that is not needed, as SWI often gets reports of a child’s death that also include additional P1 or P2 allegations regarding living children. The bullet is being removed to avoid confusion. There are no changes to assessments.
See:
4631.1 Assessing the Death of a Child Not in DFPS Conservatorship
4631.2 New Allegations after Child Death Investigation is Closed
