DFPS Travel Services
Handbook Revision, August 2015
This revision of the DFPS Travel Services Handbook was published on August 3, 2015. Summaries of new or revised items are provided below.
Travel Handbook Moved to Public Website
The DFPS Travel Services Handbook has been moved to the public website to allow access to travel policy for non-DFPS entities.
Mobile Caseworker Travel Policy
Item 4200 4200 Mobile Caseworker Travel Policy was deleted from the Travel Handbook on July 21, 2015.
Advance Travel Requests (PATS 8347)
The items below are revised to remove the question about a financial hardship and the requirement of a second level approver. The request will now only go to the traveler's direct supervisor for approval.
The policy will now state that direct bill lodging is only available for emergency situations. A traveler's first resort should be the advance travel card.
