This policy revision clarifies documentation instructions for SWI when completing intakes for DCI or RCCI related to alleged or registered sex offenders in operations or facilities regulated by Day Care Regulation (DCR) and Residential Child Care Regulation (RCCR).

8222.1 Child as Alleged Perpetrator (AP)
Alleged Perpetrators and Screeners (PATS 00194)
This policy revision does the following:
- Clarifies that, for Adult Protective Services (APS), allegations must be within six months of the report if the alleged perpetrator (AP) no longer has access to the client (CL).
- Provides guidance on assessing and documenting reports alleging abuse or neglect involving a child in care in an operation regulated by Child Care Regulation (CCR).
- Adds that, for Child Protective Investigations (CPI), screeners cannot contact an alleged victim unless the victim is the reporter.
